Delete your account

Permanently remove your POW Ink account and the personal information tied to it. This is the equivalent flow to the in-app option, available here so you can request deletion even if you've removed the app or never installed it.

Section 1 — Before you start

Read this first.

In short

Deletion is permanent and takes up to 30 days to complete. We'll keep a minimum set of order and tax records as the law requires. There is no fee. You don't need to give a reason. You can also just deactivate marketing emails instead — link below.

Submitting a deletion request will permanently close your POW Ink account and remove the personal information associated with it, except for a minimum set of records we are legally required to retain (see Section 2).

A few things to consider before submitting:

  • You can't un-delete. Once deletion completes, your account, art on file (after retention period), order history, and saved preferences cannot be restored.
  • Open orders will be completed. If you have orders currently in production or awaiting delivery, those will be completed and invoiced normally. The deletion processes after fulfillment.
  • Outstanding balances stay due. Deletion doesn't cancel unpaid invoices.
  • If you only want fewer emails, you don't need to delete your account. Write to privacy@powink.com and ask to be opted out of marketing while keeping your account.
Section 2 — What gets deleted

What goes, what stays.

In short

Your account, art files, profile, order preferences, and stored contact data get deleted. Order and tax records get kept the way the law tells us to. Aggregate analytics stays — there's nothing to identify you in it anyway.

Deleted

  • Account credentials — email, password hash, OAuth identifiers
  • Profile fields — name, business name, phone, division of interest, communication preferences
  • Saved shipping and billing contacts
  • Customer Content — artwork files, logos, photos, design specs on file
  • Reorder-from-history preferences and saved configurations
  • Inbound contact-form submissions tied to your account
  • Marketing-email opt-in / opt-out state (we won't re-add you)

Retained (per Privacy § 8)

  • Order, invoice, and payment records — typically 7 years from close of calendar year, per tax and accounting requirements [ATTORNEY REVIEW — confirm ND retention]
  • Tax-exempt certificates on file (if applicable)
  • Records tied to active legal claims or under legal hold
  • Aggregate analytics (Plausible) — no individual records to delete
  • Customer-reference portfolio mentions, if applicable — opt out separately under Terms § 10

Activates when portal launches

The fastest path is to sign in and use the Delete account button in your account settings. Identity is already verified by the sign-in session, so deletion confirms within minutes.

The signed-in delete flow ships with the customer portal. Until then, use Path B below.

Submit a request by email

Available now

Use the form below to send a deletion request directly to our privacy team. We'll verify the request against records we already hold, complete the deletion, and confirm by email within thirty (30) days.

Section 4 — After you submit

What happens next.

In short

You get an acknowledgment within 5 business days. We verify you against the account on file. Deletion completes within 30 days. You get a confirmation when it's done.

  1. Acknowledgment. Within five (5) business days, you'll receive an email confirming we received the request.
  2. Verification. We'll match the request against records we already hold (email on file, recent order history, or other reasonable identifiers). For requests by an authorized agent, we may ask for written authorization from the account holder.
  3. Hold check. We check for open orders, outstanding invoices, or active legal hold. Open items are completed normally; anything under legal hold stays preserved as required.
  4. Deletion. Account credentials, profile data, Customer Content (after artwork retention period), and other deletable categories are removed from active systems and from backups in accordance with our backup-retention schedule.
  5. Confirmation. You'll receive a final email confirming deletion is complete. The whole process completes within thirty (30) days from the verified request, except where applicable state privacy law sets a different timeline.
